I've never had lash extensions before. What should I expect during the service?

We all have our unique facial features, eye shape, etc. I do my best to create a style that I think will accentuate your eyes/face the best. Before beginning the service I ask questions about what you would like (i.e. natural or dramatic style, fullness, length etc.) I do my best to create the style you would like. The health and strength of your natural lashes are my biggest priority.

During your next fill, if you would like to change the length and/or curl, just let me know, it's all changeable.

Applying a full set of lashes takes 1.5-2.5 hours depending on the type being applied. Sometimes it is hard to lay still for that amount of time. Here are some tips to get the most out of your service:

-Use the restroom before your appointment time

-Avoid coffee/caffeine

-Wear comfortable clothing/warm clothing

-Wash off any eye makeup, oils, etc. before your appointment

You're more than welcome to bring headphones, blankets, etc. to your appointment.

Please do not bring your small children with you.

How long do lash extensions last and will they ruin my natural lashes?

Lash Extensions are semi-permanent, they last until your natural lashes fall out. Just like the hair on your head, legs, brows etc., your lashes go through a growth cycle. We naturally lose 3-5 lashes per eye per day. (When you see a lash extension fall out with a natural lash attached-don't fret-it's perfectly normal.) Depending on your growth cycle and aftercare, fills are needed every 2-3 weeks.

Lash extensions SHOULD NOT damage your natural lashes. Improperly applied lash extension will cause damage to your natural lashes, but when done properly lash extensions can assist natural lashes to be stronger and healthier than before.

Are there different lengths and curls of lash extensions?

There are several different lengths, curls and diameters. I carry 4 different curls in lengths that range from 8-15mm.

What if I want to switch to a different type of lashes?

Easy peasy! Just let me know! During your next fill we can switch to whatever you would like! (switch to classic, hybrid, volume, curls or lengths!) Don't feel stuck with what you have-its an change!

How do I take care of my lash extensions?

For the first 24 hours after a full set or a fill:

-Avoid getting the extensions wet

-Avoid heavy steam

-Avoid wearing any eye makeup

Tips to get the most out of your lash extensions:

-Do not wear any mascara on the extensions

-Avoid heat/steam too close to your face

-If you use a lighter-don't get too close to the lash extensions (it will singe them)

-Use oil free products around the eye area

-CLEANSE your lashes (once a day or every other day) If you are a frequent

eye makeup wearer use a lash extension safe cleanser to remove makeup. If you don't

wear eye makeup use saline to rinse any debris/oils from the lashes.

I've heard about lash lifts, but what is it?

Lash lifts are a great service if you don't want the maintenance of lash extensions or can't have lash extensions.

Lash lifts are, in a nut shell, a perm for your lashes. They eliminate the use of a lash curler.

They last about 6-8 weeks, but can be done every 4-5 if needed.

Aftercare for lash lifts:

-Avoid getting them wet for 24 hours.

-Avoid mascara or eye makeup for 24 hours.

-Try to avoid sleeping on your lashes. (if you do, just wet them and brush them back out.)

I want a facial, but I'm not sure what service to get?

No worries! It gets a little confusing. You can always shoot me a text or call and I will help you decide. You can also stop by for a consultation.

Will I be red after a facial?

Everyone skin is different. A little redness may occur, but its normal. If there is any redness it typically goes down after a couple hours. Also, not wearing any makeup for a couple hours is recommended.

I want a chemical peel, but do I have to peel?

No! You don't have to peel to get a peel. There are many different types of chemical peels (depending on your skins needs). Lighter peels do not cause any peeling, but may cause some minor flaking. Medium depth peels may cause some minor peeling. However, the peeling usually only lasts a day or two.

I want to get waxed, but does it hurt?

Everyone's pain tolerance is different. Hair is being pulled out from the root, sometimes in a sensitive area. It does hurt, but not as bad as you might think!

Here are some tips to make your waxing service a little less painful:

-Take an over the counter pain reliever 30 min before your appointment

-Make sure the hair is no longer than 1/4 of an inch. (but can be trimmed if necessary!)

-Bring a magazine, phone, headphones, etc. for a little distraction

-Avoid being waxed within a couple days of or during your period

-Topical numbing creams can be applied at home before your waxing appointment
